Nothing about painting technique this time, but some observations about Palermo: 

To enter inside (restaurant, tourist office, hotel...) in Palermo you have knock the door and wait it to be open. By definition the door is closed with no sight of live inside.

It could be pretty warm and nice in Palermo even in January. The Sun is almost hot (when it is out).
